Swap Shop - The End of an Era

Dear Friends,
Thank you for your kind words to us this morning. Unfortunately, and with great sadness, we must announce that Swap Shop won't be returning to the airwaves.
Many of you may recall that the 9am hour on KDMO used to be called "The KDMO Switchboard" hosted by George Kolpin from the early 1960s to the late 1970s. As years passed, the show changed into what we know as Swap Shop, which was wildly successful from both the buy/sell/trade standpoint and the entertainment standpoint - which was reflected in a huge audience. However, over the last few years, we noticed our call volumes dropping off more and more as technology crept into our lives offering people other areas to buy, sell and trade goods and services - FB Marketplace, and Craigslist to name a few. It truly is the end of an era.
We thank you for your loyal participation and listenership over the years. Our callers really were the stars of the show! Swap Shop will be missed, but we have some great things in store for 93.5 and 1490 KDMO. Stay Tuned!
